I'm back from the dead!

I know that y'all had given up on me for good. I'm sorry - work is hard, my brain is mush and I'm exhausted. But I think I'm gonna try and do the whol: forget about work when I'm out of the office spiel. So... what else is new in my life?

...
Okay no wait, there must be something, I bought these snazzy Salvatore Ferragamo eyeglasses which might be the most high fashion thing I own. They're quite cool, they've got these little crystals on the side. The funny thing is after I actually got the lenses put in and I tried them on I was a bit like... are they actually flattering or not...? Do I look a bit like a cross eyed superhero? But now I've realized I just have to dress up a bit when I wear them. So I don't shame them.

Ching Wen, Laetitia and I went to The Curve last weekend, watched Ip Man (the third time for me), ate dinner at Marche and then at 9pm went romping around Ikea. It was fabulous.

I'm bumming right now, trying to figure out what to do, I think I'm going to go take a nap or read Jane Eyre for the 5th time.

So will write when I get a life, until then - BONJOUR!!!

Happy New Year!!

I know, it's three days too late but WHATEVER, Happy New Year y'all. Now I've never been the type of person to make resolutions. In fact I don't think I've ever made a resolution on New Years in my life, simply because I never really thought one year moving into the next was a big deal. Probably because I'm just so young that it never occurred to me that hey, wait, this isn't going to keep happening forever for me.

So this year, on the 1st of January I took out a notebook and started writing down all the things I want to do or change this year. And I'm sharing it with you because hell, they may or may not happen but I have to try. Here they are:

New Year Resolutions 2009

1. Do yoga, or at least the breathing bit, everyday to prevent me from losing my mind.

2. Submit a story for the The MPH - Alliance Bank National Short Story Prize 2008, due by the end of March 2009.

3. Do at least one voice over recording audition.

4. Save RM I-can't-say-on-the-internet by the end of the year.

5. Smile, even when I don't feel like it.

6. Understand that the grass isn't greener on the other side.

7. Don't judge and don't be self righteous, people are people and I am as fallible as the next person.

8. Dance like a madwoman.

9. Sing out loud.

So that's 9 resolutions for the year 2009, I might have to figure out something new as the years go on because otherwise that list is gonna get long. I'll check in with how they're going from time to time. But for the first one, I'm going back to my yoga class tomorrow after a month long hiatus so I must be on the right track. :)

Anyway, Happy New Year again to everyone. Good luck with your resolutions, next year and anything else you need good wishes for.

Lots of love.
