Chickenpox Quarantine: Day 7

I REALLY didn't do much today.

1. I mean yeah, I did read The Third Summer of the Sisterhood, but that was more out of obligation than anything else.

2. I sorted out my entire like 15 years worth of crap that I've collected so that I can start scrapbooking.

3. I watched half episodes of Keeping Up With the Kardashians, THS: Dirty Dancing and bits of Hancock.

4. I watched the latest Vampire Diaries episode. It was satisfying as always.

5. I watched Glee on StarWorld. Man I love that show. Also I love Lea Michelle/Rachel.

I love me some bloodsuckers!

So I watched Twilight and The Twilight Saga: New Moon. True Blood is currently filming, or something so there was basically this void in my life, a void that I needed to fill with some quality vampire related entertainment. Did I say quality? Scratch that I meant ANY vampire related entertainment.

Enter The Vampire Diaries, CW's latest teen centric drama this time with a bloodlust twist. Really it's pretty much the smartest thing the channel could do given the intense public interest? in vampires at the moment. So what's it about? It's marketed as a love triangle between one good vampire brother, his evil vampire brother and a human girl. In reality it's sort of a classic love triangle, One Tree Hill rip off, complete with requisite with side characters.

It's actually a lot better than expected. The show started off very badly with its only good moments supplied by the evil brother Damon, exquisitely portrayed by the stunning Ian Somerhalder. Somewhere along the line however the characters got less annoying, the plotline less high school and more vampirey. It got good. Right now they're on hiatus and I'm hyperventilating until the new episode comes out.

Check it out if you love anything to do with vampires and need a fix or if you like teen dramas because the actors on this show are hot-hot-hot. CW done good.
